Half-way point!

Well here we are... half way through November and with 16 days of Moustache growth!!!

A field trip to NewEgg...

As it turns out...

 

We live fairly close (about an hour's worth) to a NewEgg.com distribution center!

 

Well, when El Hub found this out, he placed an order immediately so we could go pick it up!

 



Computing is SERIOUS business...

Day 16: Half Way Point

Here we are at the half way point!

This gives a better idea of the look El Hub is going for.

 

He calls this one "The Swirl" (or "The Roller Coaster").

 

He's not sure if his plan is working but his idea was to have an asymmetrical moustache that starts on one side (from one sideburn) and then goes across his face, down the other side.

 

He said that as of yet, he's gotten lots of looks and quite a few comments.

 

Some people are hesistant to ask him about it.

Others ask him if he knows his 'stache is crooked...

 

and that's exactly what he wants people to ask.

In fact, the moustache is having such a good time...

that it has decided to stay in New York!

Workin' Hard...

Well... I know we're officially out of November but, 

Hubby likes his moustache so much that he won't shave it off!

Day 21: Ski Sweater & 'Stache...

Day 20: Crib

Hubby built our crib today...

And he tested it by sitting in it...

Day 18: It's cold in our house!

As you know, hubby does not like to spend money turn on the heater.

So it's freezing cold in our tile house.

Good thing he has his hat and his facial hair!  ;-)

Day 15: Half-Way Mark!

We're already at the half-way point!  Can you believe it!

Construction Moustache Man!!!

This here is Construction Moustache Man...

Hubby's doing some work on our house and Thank God he has his moustache to help him get into character!

It really helps him work better.

Hubby was thinking of shaping this year's moustache into a cowboy moustache

Happy Halloween!

It's that time of year again!

Tomorrow is November 1st and so begins "Movember".

Again this year, they are raising funds to benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Tonight, at midnight, Hubby will shave off any and all facial hair to have a fresh start on November 1st!

He decided to do a practice run (a pre-facial test) and he has actually been taking MY prenatal pills to see if his facial hair will grow any faster. 

And since today is Halloween, he conveniently had a nice full moustache for his "Nascar Fanatic" costume:

 He actually won a prize for going to work like this... :)

He took the 'stache to the beach on Saturday to work on its tan...

Well... it's done.  The 'stache is gone.

Thanks to everyone who participated and contributed!

It seems that hubby's company was able to raise a nice bit of money for Prostate Cancer research!

Good job guys! (and gals.. yes, some gals participated too!)

As for hubby's face, things are back to normal and hubby is clean shaven once again.

YAY!

No more itchy-scratchy!

No more references to Castro, Laguna, Long Beach or Scary Vans with no windows.

A Happy Hubby...

Have you ever seen a happier guy...  He's so cozy!

However, he wasn't so happy a few nights ago...

As you know, turning on the heater is a 'No-No' in this house.

Well, since he was in Mountain View all last week for work, I decided to kick on the heater for a few minutes each morning.

(Um, it was like 62 degrees one morning when I woke up...)

Well of course, the day he came home was the one day I forgot to turn OFF the heater...

He got home Thursday night at about 9p and we had no sooner gotten cozy in bed when I heard the heater KICK ON!!!

So naturally, I asked, "Oh... Did you turn the heater on?"

(** halo appears above my head **)

I was pretty much busted.

He wasn't very happy.

It's safe to say he looked like this:

Week 3 - Moustache Update!

Well, here we are.

Another week has gone by and more facial hair has grown.

It's really getting nice and full!

He's practicing his poses again...

A close encounter...

Hubby had a random encounter this past weekend, which he can only attribute to his current mustache...

He went surfing Friday and after his surf session, he was changing out of his wet suit by his car.

A man driving by stopped his car by hubby's and asked hubby repeatedly if he was ok and if he needed any help! 

Hubby insisted that he was fine and that he didn't need help.

He found this odd, especially 'cause the weird guy kept staring at hubby the whole time he changed outta his wetsuit! 

Hubby could only assume it must be the moustache since this has pretty much never happened to him before...

Good thing the man wasn't dressed in this getup...
